Randi Miller Carries ASCS Rocky Mountain Region Unbeaten Streak Into New Mexico
ASCS - TULSA, Okla. (June 1, 2004) - Randi Miller of Rapid City, SD, will try to extend his unbeaten streak in American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region action this weekend as the series takes to New Mexico's one-third mile Aztec Speedway on Friday and Saturday night.
After topping twelve of twenty-four feature en route to the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region title in 2003, Miller has shown no signs of easing up on the competition, as he raced to victory lane in each of the series first three events in 2004.
In last year's June doubleheader at Aztec Speedway, Miller won the main event after Kansas shoe Jason Martin topped the preliminary feature.
A number of top contenders will seek to put an end to Miller's early-season hot streak this weekend, including 2002 champion Mike Dreiling, 2001 champion Nick Haygood, 2004 runner-up Eric Miller, Keith Rauch, Jake Pierson, Geoff Dodge, Greg Schaefer, Jeremy Sheaffer, Scott Roberts and Scott Milan among others.
Racing action is slated to get under way at 7:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.
Aztec Speedway is located one-half mile south of US 550 on State Road 544, then 0.2 miles east on Legion. For more information, contact the track at 505-334-2023.
The 2004 ASCS Rocky Mountain Region slate consists of 22 nights of racing at twelve different states throughout Colorado, Kansas, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota and Wyoming.
