Stenhouse Jr finishes 2nd at Memphis!

(April 10th, 2005 Memphis, TN) Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was at home Friday night, not in front of the TV or with his friends, he was at his home track of Memphis Motorsports park during it out in the Fast Effects Removable Decals/J&J Chassis. It was the young fast Phnom's first visit back to MMP since winning last years season ending Comp Cams Nationals. The SBS motorsports team was looking for it's first win of the year and continuing it's streak of top ten finishes,

There were twenty-six "360" sprinters at MMP including the always strong Darren Stewart, Steven Tiner and Mike Ward. Things got off to a good start with a starting spot on the front row for his heat and Stenhouse, Jr held on for a 2nd place finish and 7th place starting position for the 20 lap "A" main. At the drop of the green flag, the loud pedal was Mashed and all signs pointed to a Stenhouse, Jr victory as he raced around the likes of Stewart and Tiner and within 10 laps was running second. Lapped traffic and a very rough race track cost Sjr a few seconds here and there and that was enough to let Tim Crawley build a good lead and win at MMP.

"We had a great car tonight." said Stenhouse, Jr. "My dad and Mike and all the guys at the shop really had me flying tonight. Chose a couple of bad lines in lapped traffic and then let Tim get away from me. All in all it was a good night though and I can't wait for the ASCS two day show here in 2 weeks. I know we will have something for them when they get here."
