Stenhouse, Jr. begins 410 season tonight with the All Stars!
(February 10, 2005 Barberville, FL) The Stenhouse Jr. racing team has arrived in Florida and is looking to make some noise when they race in tonight's All-Stars race at Volusia. The team is fresh off a top ten run on the final night of the King of the 360's at East Bay raceway park and is eager to get back in action. Upon arriving back at the teams shop in Memphis, TN the crew went to work on the Fast Effects/J&J Chassis/Dynotech 40R to get it ready for the All Stars and Outlaw races.
Ricky's dad, Rick Sr. dropped a fresh Dynotech 410 onto the chassis as well as a new nose and top wing and some light weight components and is looking for a good run from S.JR this week. "We needed to lighten the car up a bit when we got it back from East Bay." the elder Stenhouse said, "The car was not that hurt from the accident but we wanted to take our time and go through it and make sure we had everything right for this week. The competition down here is going to be stellar but I think we have the equipment to run with em. Ricky has proven he has the talent it takes to be here and we are giving him the equipment to prove it."
Ricky has been to Volusia before with the USCS series. He set quick time on the first night and had a pair of top tens to show for his efforts, but that was with a 360. This is a whole new game and Ricky's been waiting since November to show his stuff.
"Ever since we got the deal with Fast Effects I have been itching to come here and race with these guys." said Stenhouse, Jr. "I love running against Danny (Lasoski), Steve Kinser, Donny Schotz and the all of those guys. I remember watching them race and saying one of these days I am going to race these guys. I want to prove when I run with these guys that we belong here. I have a lot to learn and am really looking forward to getting out on the track tonight and showing what we have."
