ASCS Rebel Region at Green Valley on Friday
TULSA, Okla. (June 8, 2009) -- The American Sprint Car Series Rebel Region continues action by taking to the 3/8-mile Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, AL, this Friday night.
Friday's card marks the ASCS Rebel Region's fourth night of competition in 2009, with Sarasota, Florida's Danny Martin, Jr., out to the series early points lead.
Martin, who topped the opening night of East Bay's Winter Nationals on January 30, is out to a 56-point lead over Pendergrass, Georgia's Brian Thomas, with Floridians Matt Kurtz and Tyler Godwin in third and fourth, respectively. Brad Wickham rounds out the current top five in ASCS Rebel Region points.
Michael Miller of Ocean Springs, MS, captured his first career ASCS feature win by topping last year's Rebel Region stop at Green Valley Speedway, with Brad Bowden and Wade Oliver victorious in Rebel action at Green Valley in 2007.
Saturday's action at Green Valley Speedway fires off at 8:00 p.m.

The ASCS Rebel Region is slated for 11 nights of competition at eight different tracks throughout Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
