Preston Peebles II to Campaign American Sprint Car Series Sooner Region Circuit in 2004

Lubbock, Texas - Eighteen-year-old Karting Star Preston Peebles II will make a step to open wheel Sprint Car racing this season in the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Sooner Region Series. Preston will tentatively run a 27 race schedule which includes the full ASCS Sooner Region, shooting for "Rookie of the Year" honors across states from Kansas to Texas, 7 National ASCS races and 1 USAC Southwest races with his season opener kicking off April 3rd in Caney, Kansas.

Preston actually got his feet wet a few years back at the age of only 14 in 2000 & 2001, where he ran a limited Sprint Car schedule around local tracks in Texas as he managed 1 A Main feature win and 1 trophy dash win. Then, along with Pro Shifter Kart racing Preston took advantage of other opportunities, racing a wide range of formula cars including, Skip Barber Formula Dodge, Fran-Am 2000 (Formula Renault 2000), and Formula Star Mazda cars where he too found success racking up 4 Formula Mazda Poles along with 2 Victory's, and a Victory in Formula Dodge at the popular Laguna Seca Raceway. Now, in 2004 Preston Peebles II makes a full-time return to Sprint Car racing piloting the 11p Allstar Automotive & Tire/Package Plus/Pennzoil Eagle Chassis with Gearte Racing Engines Power.

Preston is still looking for funding for his racing program, any interested parties can contact Preston direct at prestok11@aol.com. He would also like to send a Special Thanks to his current supporter's; Allstar Automotive & Tire, Package Plus, Pennzoil, Dr. Mayes Orthadontics, Clear Water Company, Melster Company, Kuzzins Kustoms, MQ Helmets, Impact Racing, and Premier Signs.
