ASCS Patriots and Mid-Atlantic's Best to be Honored This Saturday at Awards Banquet
TULSA, Okla. (November 25, 2007)- This Saturday Night, all the records will be broken at what should be a fantastic way to cap the 2007 season for the two Northeast Regions of the American Sprint Car Series.
Twenty competitors will receive awards this Saturday, December 1, at the all-new Holiday Inn in Henrietta, NY, just south of Rochester. A capacity crowd of 125 has already punched their ticket to the awards banquet, which will fill the room with the excitement of the season.
Chuck Hebing, of Ontario, NY, and Tim Hogue, of Medford, NJ, will be honored as Champions of the Patriot and Mid-Atlantic Regions, respectively. They will headline a class of top competitors that will together walk away with over $35,000 in cash and prizes.
Hebing won 12 ASCS races en route to his second consecutive Patriot Region Champion, the first driver to win multiple championships in the five-year history of the series. It is the first championship for Hogue, due in large part to 2007 being the inaugural season for the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Region.
With point funds being paid for Patriot Region, the Mid-Atlantic Region, the A-Verdi King of CNY Series and the Gater Racing News Hard Charger of the Season Award presented by Red Bear Hand Cleaner, the cash prizes will be plentiful to go around.
Each competitor will have a video montage of the year, along with still shots of the season. There are a slew of special awards also to distribute, including perfect attendance, best appearing car, Patriot of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved, and many more.
The Awards Banquet will kick off at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Chuck Hebing will be getting everyone started by buying the first round. At 7:00 p.m., dinner will be served, with the awards presentation getting underway immediately after.
