ASCS Patriots Announce Test, Tune and Tech Day at Genesee Speedway

Tulsa, Okla. (April 8, 2007)- With the opening night of racing less than four weeks away for the 2007 Schedule, the ASCS Patriot Region has announced a practice session to prepare teams for Fulton.

Genesee Speedway, the only track the ASCS Patriots will visit for the first time in 2007, will play host to this first ever "Test, Tune and Tech" Session. It will also mark the first time in over a decade that a sprint car touches the 1/3-mile Batavia, NY oval.

This session will be held on Sunday, April 22, with ASCS Patriot Technical Inspector Dan Deming inspecting cars from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m., the sprint cars will take to the speedway to test until 6:00 p.m. While all classes are invited to participate in the Speedway's practice session, the final two hours will be reserved for sprint cars only.

"This will be a great opportunity for our teams to get ready for the exciting 2007 season," noted ASCS Patriot Regional Director Mike Emhof. "It's nice to have our test session at the only track most of our competitors have never seen."

In addition to the teams having an opportunity to get use to the racetrack again, it will also be used to get drivers antiquated with the ASCS Patriot Officials, which now includes Emhof, Jerry Farrel and Steve Ansley as additions to the staff in 2007.

For those drivers and teams that have not registered with ASCS for the 2007 season yet, they will be available to do this on April 22 as well.

Mike Lauterborn, former ASCS Patriot Competitor, is the new promoter of the Genesee Speedway and will be playing host the first 1st Annual Western New York 360 Sprint Shoot-Out on August 25, a $2,000-to-win showdown between the Patriots and the Empire Super Sprints.

Fans are encouraged to get a glimpse of the ASCS Patriots at this event, which includes FREE general admission. Along with the racing, the speedway will be holding a top-level chicken barbeque, hosted by Clor's. This will start at 1:00 and roll throughout the day.
