ASCS Patriots Invade Canada This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. (July 11, 2006) -- The Bobcat of Buffalo ASCS Patriot Sprint Group is set for a pair of events on the other side of the border this weekend with a pair of events in Ontario, Canada.

Friday night, the series invades the 3/8-mile Ohsweken Speedway clay oval before moving on to the high-banked, 3/8-mile Brockville Ontario Speedway clay oval on Saturday night.

Ontario, New York's Chuck Hebing leads the way into the weekend, building a 93-point lead in the championship points race on the strength of four feature wins in eight events thus far in 2006.

Williamsville, NJ, racer Don Adamczyk has climbed to second in points on the strength of six consecutive top-ten feature finishes, with Nick Bashford, defending series champion Bryan Howland and Geoff Quackenbush rounding out the current top five.

Brad Knab enters the Canadian weekend ranked sixth, with the balance of the top ten including Rich Swarthout, Jared Zimbardi, Chris Muhleisen and Mike Stelter.

Friday's card at Ohsweken Speedway gets under way at 7:45 p.m., with Saturday's action at Brockville Speedway firing off at 7:00 p.m.

Ohsweken Speedway is located on the east edge of Brantford on PR 403 to Garden Avenue exit, then 3.3 miles south on CR 18, then 6.7 miles west on CR 54, then 1.5 miles south on Chiefswood Road. For more information, contact the track at 519-445-0937.

The 2006 Bobcat of Buffalo ASCS Patriot Sprint Group schedule consists of 22 nights of racing at fourteen different tracks throughout New York, Pennsylvania and Canada.

In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
