LUCAS OIL ASCS PATRIOT TEAMS GEAR UP FOR CAR SHOW SEASON

TULSA, Okla. (March 3, 2009) - With the start of the 2009 Lucas Oil ASCS Patriot Season less than two months away, a number of teams are already nearing completion on their cars with a pair of car shows taking place over the next two weeks.

A trio of drivers to been seen on the 2009 tour will be on display at the Olean Center Mall Car Show, taking place March 6-8 in the Southern Tier of NY. The Olean Mall is in the heart of the all-new PJ Motorsports King of the Southern Tier Series region, which includes races at Woodhull, Arcade and Stateline.

Gary Troutman will once again put his primary #44 mount on display in the mall. The Andover, NY resident is primed for a full assault on the 2009 tour as he chases his best season ever.

Chris Shuttleworth is always a highlight of this show, winning best in show on multiple occasions. The McKean County Winner in 2006 always brings out a new scheme at the show and this year is likely to be no different.

Rookie Shawn Mott is also set to go for 2009. This second-generation driver has been looking to jump from the micro sprint ranks into a full-sized sprint for years and finally sees the opportunity this season.

A week after the show concludes in Olean, the cars will roll in to the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse for the Gater Racing News Motorsports Expo. The show has been condensed to two days this year, which means the activity during Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, should be larger than ever.

A six-pack of Patriots will be on hand, including Troutman, who will double up on the shows. The veteran will join a group of youngsters that will have their cars on display.

2008 Series Champion Bryan Howland will once again put his Black No. 51 in the Patriot Region of the show, this year in the Verizon Center of Progress Building. The Auburn, NY 21-year-old has already announced his plans to try and be the first driver to win three ASCS Patriot Championships.

Scott Kreutter returns to the show for his third season in a full-sized sprint. With new sponsorship and plenty of confidence after two great years, Kreutter looks to challenge Howland for the title from the drop of the first green flag.

The Breen Brothers will also place a car in the show, with other brother Blake's No. 8 being that sprinter. Both Blake and Bobby picked up a win in 2008, while finishing 5th and 6th in points, respectively. Now entering their sixth season, there is not a race the Savannah, NY brothers enter where they are not amongst the favorites.

After learning the ropes in 2008, Robbie Shuttleworth moves into his sophomore season ready for the full Lucas Oil ASCS Patriot tour. This will be the second car show for the "Pocket Rocket"

Geoff Quackenbush took much of 2008 off, but will be back with a vengeance this year in his No. 25, which this year will be in black. He returns to the car show for the first time in two years.

Along with the Patriot booth, which will have copies of the 2009 Lucas Oil Tour, videos of past action and photos of great moments in 2008, former Patriot runner Rich Swarthout will have one of his sprint car simulators in the booth for added entertainment for the fans.

When the car shows are completed, the next item on the list will be the season opening "Double Feature" at Fulton Speedway on May 2. For more information on the Lucas Oil ASCS Patriots, visit www.ASCSracing.com.
