TULSA, Okla. (March 12, 2007) - On what was most likely the last cold weekend of the year in New York, things heated up in Syracuse for the 2007 ASCS Patriots Season with the stars and cars of the series both shining at one of the largest car shows in the Northeast.

The ASCS Patriot Region had a major presence at the 2007 Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds, held this past weekend, with six top-level cars on hand.

2006 Champion Chuck Hebing is always thrilling on the track, but his 2007 paint scheme had an equal attraction to the fans. A snake-skinned scheme adorned the potent maxim-chassis for the "Cobra", who looks to become the first repeat Patriot Champion. Whether he takes the title or not, one thing is assured: the No. 45 will never be light on the scales this season!

Camera-phones were not done at Hebing's car though, they followed right down the line, including Jared Zimbardi back in his No. 35 for 2007, 2005 Champion Bryan Howland in his flashy No. 51, and late-entry Chris Shuttleworth with his own snake-scheme for this year. Known for his eye-catching No. 11, Shuttleworth is the "Side-whine-der" for 2007.

Geoff Quackenbush has already raced in 2007 with ASCoT in Florida, but his other sprinter was on hand and in top-form for the driver that was 5th in 2006 points. Rookie Scott Kruetter jumps up to a full-sized sprint this year and had a great No. 52 to complete the six-pack of stars.

Another highlight of the weekend was the driver autograph session that took place on Saturday afternoon. Hundreds of fans turned out to meet the guys behind the wheels, which included all of those with cars on hand, along with Blake and Bobby Breen and Nick Bashford. Being in Central New York, it was a perfect time to showcase the A-Verdi King of CNY t-shirts, made by ASI Sportswear, which will have races all around the Syracuse Area. Plenty of talk surrounded these events over the weekend, which includes the opening races of the season at Fulton and Rolling Wheels in May.

"The exposure we received this weekend was fantastic," stated Regional Director Mike Emhof. "The thousands of fans that passed by our aisle saw great-looking race cars, a fantastic schedule, and were able to meet some of the best drivers this area has to offer."
