(NOVEMBER 3, 2003) Perris Auto Speedway President & Promoter Don Kazarian announced on Saturday that two of Southern California's most popular racing figures, Bill and Evelyn Pratt, have been named as Grand Marshals for the 8th annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe and Supply, at Perris Auto Speedway on November 13th, 14th and 15th.

Bill Pratt has fielded cars longer than any current SCRA car owner and his string of consecutive years owning sprint cars goes back to the 1960s. Among the drivers who have steered his cars over the years are Rick Goudy, Clark Templeman, Max Sweeney, Billy Wilkerson, Tony "The Tiger" Simon, Steve Chassey and Steve Ostling. With Wilkerson behind the wheel, Pratt won the 1972 CRA Car Owners Championship. Visalia's Greg Bragg currently wheels the red Pratt #12 with and will be one of the entries at the Oval Nationals.

Evelyn Pratt is the most loved and respected racing official in the USA. She currently serves as a Pit Steward for SCRA as she did for years with CRA. In addition to working with SCRA and CRA, she has also worked events for USAC, NASCAR and the World of Outlaws. Her legendary bullhorn from Ascot is in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Away from the track, the effervescent 85-years young Evelyn still operates her own lawn service and works every day.

Advance tickets for the Oval Nationals are on sale now by calling 1-800-595-4849 or (909) 940-0134. Fans can also order tickets from the Internet at www.tix.com or www.perrisautospeedway.com.

Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds, home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los Angeles. Take the 215 Freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go east two and a half miles to the fairgrounds.
