National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum partners with Skagit Dirt Cup

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (April 24, 2003) - The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum has joined forces with Skagit Speedway GM Steve Beitler for a fund raising auction to benefit the non-profit museum foundation. The event will be held in conjunction with the 32nd Annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup presented by Foley RV/Monaco Coach Corporation.

According to museum marketing director Craig Agan, "We are thrilled to partner with Skagit Speedway and to be a part of their festivities during the prestigious Super Dirt Cup event. We will auction special racing memorabilia, diecasts, artwork, and photos, many of which will be signed by some of the biggest names in racing. This auction will join the other three we sponsor during the Knoxville Nationals, the Chili Bowl Midget Championships, and the Williams Grove National Open."

"We are excited that Steve Beitler has invited us to become a part of the history of the Dirt Cup, which shows his appreciation for what our non-profit museum foundation does to preserve all open wheel racing history."

The auction will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, and will be held on the grounds of the Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington. More details will be released at a later date. Anyone interested in donating items for the auction should call Craig Agan at the museum at 1-800-874-4488.
