KNOXVILLE, IOWA (December 1, 2004) - The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is pleased to announce the agenda for next Thursday night's North American Sprint Car Poll Awards Reception at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana. The December 9th reception, to be hosted by Dave Argabright and Pat Sullivan, is free, casual and open to the racing community and is once again being held in conjunction with the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show. It will be held from 6 until 9:30 p.m. and it will honor the current achievers in the sport of 360-cubic-inch, 410-cubic-inch, and non-winged sprint car racing.
Among the honorees will be 2004 Wild Card Award recipients Erin Crocker (410-cubic-inch sprint car), Trevor Lewis (360 c.i. sprint car) and Bryan Clausen (Non-Winged sprint car). The Massachusetts-born Crocker, a winner with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series in '04, now becomes a four-time Wild Card Award honoree for her exciting sprint car performances. Lewis, of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, and Clausen of Noblesville, Indiana, will receive their first Wild Card Awards from their respective select panels of media members, manufacturers, sanctioning officials and promoters. Past Wild Card Award recipients have included National Sprint Car Hall of Famers Rick Ferkel, Lealand McSpadden and Rich Vogler, and current NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon, Tyler Walker, and Kasey Kahne.
The first of four 2004-2005 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame "reunions" will take place after the Oscars-style poll award presentations.
