LUCAS OIL ASCS ADDS RIVERSIDE DOUBLE

TULSA, Okla. (May 7, 2009) -- There will be plenty of fireworks this coming Fourth of July weekend when the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters makes its grand return to the fabled Riverside International Speedway.

It was announced today that the popular traveling series will make its first appearance atop the West Memphis, AR, 0x00bc-mile gumbo clay oval in nearly four years on July 3-4 in a two-night stand that will be promoted by Kansas racer Tony Bruce, Jr.

"I'm excited to bring the Lucas Oil ASCS back to the Mid-South," Bruce commented. "This will be a real treat for the fans, they'll be amazed at the show the ASCS puts on and the level of competition, it's just unreal."

Both nights of competition will be taped for broadcast on the VERSUS Network, with airdates of August 8 for the July 3 event and then September 20 for the July 4 finale.

A long-time staple on the ASCS National trail, Riverside International Speedway hosted the series 24 different times from 1995 to 2005, when local shoe A.G. Rains captured his second ASCS triumph in the series last appearance in West Memphis.

Fans that haven't visited Riverside International Speedway in recent years will also take note of a marked change in the appearance of the 60-year-old speedplant, as the facility has undergone vast improvements over the past several years under the charge of current owner Clayton Allen.

With the addition of Riverside International Speedway to the schedule, the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters is currently slated for approximately 35 nights of racing action at 17 different tracks throughout the nation, with the country's top Sprint Car drivers set to battle it out for their share of the $250,000 points fund.

Details regarding ticket information for the July 3-4 Lucas Oil ASCS event at Riverside International Speedway will be available soon.
