Mother Nature Scores Third Win of The Year;
Super Sprints, 358 Sprints, and Thundercars on Tap for Next Two Weeks

ABBOTTSTOWN, PA, 4/13/02 - Rain-starved Central Pennsylvania got much needed rain at the wrong time once again Saturday night, April 13th, forcing Lincoln Speedway officials to cancel its evening racing program.

ARDC midgets were scheduled to run their 2002 season opener at the Pigeon Hills facility, but a shower forced them back into the pits as they were moving onto the track for warmups. Twenty-eight super sprints and 24 thundercars were also in the pits for the night's racing program. After a two-hour delay and repeated attempts to ready the track, officials threw in the towel at 8:00 p.m.

Rain-checks for those who attended Saturday's rained-out event will be honored for the next three shows.

Next week, Saturday, April 20th, Lincoln Speedway will feature the first of two straight weeks of super sprint, 358 sprint, and thundercar action. Gates will open at 5 PM, with hot laps at 6:30 PM, and the first heat getting underway at 7 PM.
