Cris Eash continued his opening day headaches by collecting Billy Pauch on the first lap of the twenty five lap feature. This is the third consecutive opening day that Eash has had problems. Both Eash and Pauch failed to continue.
Fred Rahmer continued his streak of winning the opening day feature by taking the lead on the 13th lap. This is the third consecutive year that Rahmer has won the feature on opening day at Lincoln Speedway.

Gobrecht made the pass stick and continued to the front when he tangled with Rohrbough on the front straight. Gobrecht did a 360 on the front straight and continued. This incident brought out the yellow flag sending Gobrecht to the rear of the field.
Donnie Kreitz continued to lead while Rahmer worked his way through the field. Lance also worked his way to the front passing Jeff Thompson for third on lap twelve. Rahmer passed Kreitz on lap thirteen and the first three cars pulled away from the field.
