Lincoln Speedway honors racers at 2002 Awards Gala.

YORK, PA, 11/23/02 - Lincoln Speedway track champions and special year-end awards were handed out at the Altland House Banquet Center at the York Fairground Saturday night, November 23rd. Over 300 people were in attendance to watch the crowning of the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Super Sprint, Budweiser 358 Sprint and Miller Brothers Thundercar champions for 2002.

The top-10 finishers in the season -long point series for all three divisions were honored as well as special awards for each division.

The 2002 champions - Fred Rahmer (super sprints), Cory Haas (358 sprints), and Bernie Beard (thundercars) were all on hand to celebrate the end of the historic 50th season at the Pigeon Hills oval. They, along with a host of teammates and fans from there respective divisions, gathered one last time in 2002 to re-live the highs, and lows, of another banner year at Lincoln Speedway.

In addition, it was announced that a major rule change was going to be in effect for the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass super sprints 2003 - the adoption of a 1,375 pound weight rule (including driver).

The following is a review of all three point divisions in 2002, including champion, top-10 in points, and the special award winners for all three sponsored point division:
