Massillon,OH--- Popular Ohio Sprint Car racer Matt Lamborn, driver of the Mulheim Motorsports #38, will be competing across Ohio in a new 2001 Stealth Chassis Sprint Car as they as he chases the 2001 BOSS 360 Sprint Car championship title as well as the Wayne County Speedway points championship. Lamborn and car owner Don Mulheim are planning an aggressive schedule for the new season as they will be hitting the road throughout Ohio with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) 360 series and have been planning and preparing for the busy season ahead.

"We're currently assembling our new 2001 Stealth Chassis," stated Lamborn, who will have two Sprint Cars at his disposal. "This year should prove to be a strong one as we are going to be prepared like no other season before with two complete engines and nearly two complete cars." The team will also have an ample supply of spare parts at their immediate ready.

"Our ASCS American Sprint Car series legal motor is also currently being gone over by Roger Decker of Canton Automotive Machine Service," said Lamborn. "He is very well respected in the field of high performance racing engines. Our ASCS legal motor is the same one in which we utilized at the end of the 2000 season. This motor is being done because we have four NRA shows early in the schedule."

"With the purchase of new and lighter equipment we are hoping to eliminate about 400 pounds of weight from the car. There is no weight limit, yet, imposed on our division. Although next year 1250 pounds will most likely be the limit."

Lamborn will call Wayne County Speedway in Orrville,OH home this season but will run the entire BOSS 360 Series schedule, which will sanction the weekly 360 action at WCS as well as special events at Midway Speedway, Limaland Speedway and Attica Raceway Park. The team will also compete in a variety of NRA Invaders sanctioned events at such tracks as Limaland, Attica and Eldora Speedway.

Returning as sponsors for the 2001 season on the Mulheim Motorsports #38 will be Mulheim & Son Furniture, CAM Racing Engines, Massillon Transmission, Riverside Drive-Thru and Hearn's Precision Automotive. Negotiations with other businesses are currently underway for possible additional sponsorship with the team.

Returning to the team for the new campaign will be Crew Chief Jack Weber and crew members John Ramsey, Matt Weber and Dave Brown.

"We'll be ready for them!" exclaimed Lamborn. "We've got good equipment and a good team and it will all get better. We want to win and we want to have fun. That's what this deal is all about. Having fun. And that's what we plan to do. I'm really looking forward to this season already, especially with the Mulheim's. The Mulheim's are really terrific people and I'm proud to be associated with them. We work well together, they give me good equipment and you couldn't ask for nicer people."
