FIRST 15 SANCTIONING AFFILIATES COMMIT TO KNOXVILLE'S '07 BRODIX TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (November 28, 2006) - The first fifteen (15) winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car sanctioning affiliates have committed to the ninth annual Brodix Tournament of Champions (ToC) at the Knoxville Raceway on Sunday, August 5, 2007. Once again, the affiliates include sanctioning groups in Australia, Canada and the United States. The one-day international invitational for the 'best of the best' in 360 sprint car racing utilizes one common set of technical rules, including use of the ASCS Brodix spec head.
According to Knoxville's director of racing Ralph Capitani, "We are very pleased with the early response from the sanctioning affiliates, including the American Sprint Car Series national and regional tours, the Alberta Sprint Tour and the Southern Ontario Sprints groups in Canada, and the Premier Speedway/Avalon Raceway mini-series in Australia. We are also proud to welcome the Northwest Sprint Challenge Series in Oregon and Washington, and the Northern Lights Dirt Series in Alaska, to the fold in 2007. In addition, we appreciate the continued support of clubs such as the Empire Super Sprints, National Championship Racing Association, National Racing Alliance and Winged Outlaw Warriors. Our goal is to have all affiliates on board by December 31 of this year, so that we can finalize the format and purse for this popular event."
