BRODIX TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 6, 2006

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (November 22, 2005) - The 2005 Brodix Tournament of Champions (ToC) was the largest and most successful in its seven year history, with NCRA's Garry Lee Maier of Cimarron, Kansas, claiming the prestigious winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car invitational at the Knoxville Raceway. The Sunday, August 6, 2006 edition of the Brodix ToC is looking to be just as big, as at least twenty sanctions from Australia, Canada, and the United States are expected to be involved in the $5,000-to-win international classic. In addition, Knoxville Raceway has expanded its successful 360 Knoxville Nationals into a three-night event, August 3-4-5, next year.

Already confirming participation in the 2006 Brodix Tournament of Champions are host Knoxville Raceway (KNOX), American Sprint Car Series -- Gulf South Region (ASCS -- GS), American Sprint Car Series -- Rocky Mountain Region (ASCS-RM), National Championship Racing Association (NCRA), National Racing Alliance (NRA), Northern Sprint Tour (NST), Patriot Sprint Group (PSG), Sprints On Dirt (SOD), Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS), United Racing Company (URC), Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW), and the partnership of Australia's Avalon Raceway, Speedway City and Premier Speedway's Sungold Stadium (ASP). In addition, the Alberta Sprint Tour (AST) has indicated its intention to be affiliated with the eighth Brodix Tournament of Champions.

The Brodix ToC will keep its successful sliding driver eligibility rule, based on the number of point events completed by each sanction by the entry deadline of July 25, 2006. Those drivers competing with sanctions that complete 1-5 events by the deadline date will need 100% participation to be eligible for the tourney, while those with sanctions completing 6-10 events will need 90% participation. In the same way, those with a sanction completing 11-15 events will be required to participate in 80% of those races, while 70% participation will be required of those competing in sanctions with 16-20 events completed by July 26. Those drivers competing with sanctions that complete 21-25 events by the deadline date will need 60% participation to be eligible for the tourney, while those with sanctions completing 26 or more events will only need 50% participation.

A maximum of fifteen (15) entered and eligible drivers will be invited from each sanction, based on that sanction's points as of July 25. If a sanction only completes four shows by the deadline, then only 10 invites will be issued. If only 3 events are run, then only 5 invites will be extended. If only 2 events are run, then only 1 invite will be issued. No invitations will be issued if only one event is completed by a particular sanction by the entry deadline. The technical rules for the Brodix Tournament of Champions will be dictated by the Knoxville Raceway, and they will be the same for the Thursday-Friday-Saturday, August 3-4-5, 2006 Knoxville 360 Nationals.
