Allard, Dollansky & Saldana all qualify for 2010 Knoxville World Challenge

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (December 4, 2009) - Jonathan Allard, Craig Dollansky and Joey Saldana have become the first three Americans eligible to compete in the Friday, August 13, 2010 Knoxville World Challenge invitational during the 50th Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, presented by Lucas Oil. The trio of American sprint car racing veterans all qualified at the Wynn's International Sprint Car Classic on Saturday, November 28, at the Western Springs Speedway in Auckland, New Zealand. The race was won by World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series star Joey Saldana, followed by Craig Dollansky, Ryan O'Connor, Allan Wakeling and Greg Pickerill, respectively.

Said Knoxville director of racing Ralph Capitani, "We are extremely proud that Jonathan, Craig and Joey all made the effort to compete at Western Springs in order to qualify for the Knoxville World Challenge during our fiftieth annual National Championships. Attention will now turn towards the NZ$4,000-to-win January 1, 2010 Thunder Down Under at Robertson Holden International Speedway in Palmerston North, New Zealand, and the $30,000-to-win January 23-24, 2010, Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, as the next two official qualifying events for Americans for the seventeenth edition of the World Challenge. Of course, international sprint car drivers from Australia, Canada and New Zealand will continue to be eligible for the Knoxville World Challenge simply by competing in the Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, presented by Lucas Oil, on August 11-14, 2010."
