KNOXVILLE, IOWA (MAY 31, 2001) - Rain today, and seven of the last eight days, at Knoxville Raceway has forced racing director Ralph "Cappy" Capitani to cancel tonight's scheduled open track practice. However, all systems are "go" for Friday night's race program, which will feature the complete Goodyear Masters Classic winged sprint car show and the time trials and qualifying race for the non-winged United States Auto Club (USAC) Silver Crown cars. There are no changes to Saturday night's program, either, which includes a complete winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car program and the USAC-sanctioned 100-lap NAPA 100 for the dirt championship cars.
