Hoffman Auto Racing prepares for its 75th year of competition, announces Sprint Car driver line-up for 2004.
Dickie Gaines on Dirt, Tracy Hines for 10 Races
Loveland , Ohio( February 4, 2004)-Hoffman Auto Racing(HAR) announced today that Dickie Gaines will drive the famous #69 Sprint Car in all dirt races in the USAC schedule for 2004. HAR also plans on Tracy Hines competing in 10 USAC races this season, both pavement and dirt. HAR will run a second dirt car for Tracy Hines in select races , to include Gas City(4/30), Eldora(5/1,8/7), Charlotte(10/13), Perris(10/28-10/30), and Manzanita(11/4-11/6). Tracy will drive the pavement Sprint Car at Anderson( 4/4, 5/26), Nashville(4/10) , and Nazareth(8/27-8/28). The driver line up for the remainder of the pavement schedule is still being worked by the Team. As previously announced, Tracy Hines will run the entire Nascar Craftsman Truck Series.
Dickie Gaines is the son of legendary Indiana Sprint Car Driver and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame member, Dick Gaines. Dickie has 40 USAC Sprint Car races to his credit, and had 5 top 10 finishes in 10 starts in 2003.
Tracy Hines is one of USAC's all time great drivers. He is a past Silver Crown and Sprint Car Champion(in the HAR car). Tracy was a top three points finisher in all 3 USAC Divisions in 2003, and has won 51 USAC National races. He is a holder of the USAC "Super License".

Primary sponsorship will continue from Kroger and Tide, with associate sponsorship from Pringles, Bounty, and Alltrail.com.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that Kroger in conjunction with Procter & Gamble brands has sponsored Hoffman Auto Racing.
Hoffman Auto Racing (HAR) competes in the Silver Crown and Sprint Car Divisions of the United States Auto Club (USAC). HAR was founded in 1929 by August (Gus) Hoffman. Three generations of Hoffman's are involved with the Team. HAR is the all time leader in USAC National Sprint Car Team victories with 57 . HAR also has 7 Silver Crown victories, for a total of 64 National wins. HAR has a record 7 USAC National Championships to its credit, and celebrates 75 years of competition this year.
