PORT ROYAL, PA - Port Royal Speedway's April Schedule is highlighted by a pair of special events.

After the month kicks off on the 6th with a regular three-division program of sprints, late models and pro stocks getting underway at 6 p.m., kids will take center stage for the first time this season on April 14.

Along with another three-division show, on tap for the night will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the youngsters in the speedway's infield. Festivities get underway at 6:30 before racing at 7. Also on the evening's agenda, courtesy of the Juniata Dairy Association, will be a giant Ice Cream Sundae for tomorrow's racers. Up to 50 gallons of the dairy delight are up for grabs.

Port Royal returns with the same racing program on April 21 before the first high profile racing event of the season rolls into Juniata County to close out the month on the 28th. On hand will be the World of Outlaws Division II, Gumout Series for sprint cars.

This will be the traveling bands third appearance at the historic oval and only their third show of the year as well. Sinking Spring driver Don Kreitz Jr. is the defending winner of the event, which starts at 7 p.m. and receives sponsorhip from Bowsmans Pit Stop. A stellar field of cars is expected to be in competition.
