It was the final points race of the year for Micro Sprints at the Greenwood Valley Action Track and Joe Bednarski of Wyoming, PA, driving his self-prepared King Chassis, chalked up another Feature win, his eighth first place trophy in '98. In Victory Lane, Bednarski praised the condition of the track and said he's looking forward to next week's Thunder and Lighting two day weekend at the track. Second across the line was David Utt, Bloomsburg, followed by Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove; Kevin Bastian, Emmaus; Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills; Blaine Heimbach, Selinsgrove; Eric Perchak, Hazelton; Brent Boyer, Bloomsburg; Nyle Berkes, Berwick and finally in the top ten, Mike Miller.

The Season ending Rookie Micro Sprint Feature saw Scott Lawrence, who travels from Conklin, NY, every week, grab top prize. Lawrence, also driving a King Chassis, thanked parents and pit crew with a special thanks to Gary King, who has helped him dial in the fast race car. Second to Lawrence was Neil Petock, Bloomsburg, then Jared Ferri, Gouldsboro; Geoff Hogan, Plymouth; Dave Williams, Exton; Bree Boyer, Bloomsburg; Michelle Miller; Jerry Mack, Selinsgrove; Jake Park, Rome and C.J. Jones, Hellertown.

Next weekend will feature two spectacular days of racing at the Greenwood Valley Action Track. In a special Friday event, gates will open at 3:00 and warm-ups at 5:30 with all regular divisions running. Saturday is set aside for Thunder and Lightning when gates will open at noon with racing beginning at about 3:00. The Action Track's Annual Thunder and Lightning event features a large number of competitors, both Action Track regulars and hot shoes from other tracks, all aiming to take home the large purse.

Bring the family, the racing season is only a month from being over at the Greenwood Valley Action Track, just 3 1/2 miles east of Milville.
