The Valvoline Cup is Back for It's Third Year with the Empire Super Sprints; Sponsors Bully Hill Dash Qualifiers on Memorial Day Weekend.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Valvoline Cup, the only recognized National season points championship, is back with the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) for it's third tour of duty backing the A-Main events on Sat. May 29 and Sun May 30th. The 25 lap events which will be held at the Can-Am Motorsports Park and Utica-Rome Speedways respectively will pay the winner of each race a cool $1725 in cash.

To make these two events on the ESS' Tour 2004 schedule even more enticing is that they are also Beam Mack/Western Snow Plow Bully Hill Nationals All-Star Dash Qualifiers. The winners not only will receive a huge chunk of cash from the large A-Main purse offered by ESS at each event, they will be guaranteed starters in the 12 lap dash that is paying $500 to win from a $2,000 purse. The annual dash event will be held Friday night, Sept. 10th. at the Sixth Annual Billy Hill Vineyards Fall Sprint Nationals which is held at the Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, N.Y. Last year ESS champion Mike Lutz led the dash event wire to wire to collect the victory laurels.

The Valvoline Cup is a national season points championship that is open to virtually all drivers in all types and classes of wheel to wheel (unless specifically noted) competition in all sanctioned racing or track sponsored weekly racing programs throughout the country. There were 34 classes in the Valvoline Cup program for 2003 with each driver from ESS entered in hopes of becoming national champion. For more information on the unique program which is also running it's third consecutive season fans and competitors can log on to www.valvolinecup.com .

The 2004 season marks the 21st Anniversary for New York's premiere 360 sprint car organization. With events from Quebec to Iowa, the 32 date tour will be making exciting stops to a dirt track near you. Top stars such as Justin Barger, Dan Kaszubinski, John Karklin Jr., Lance Yonge and a whole host of other top sprint car chauffeurs will be out in force hoping to take home the most money in ESS' richest tour ever.

The first green flag will drop Saturday night, May 15th at the Mercer Raceway Park with a special match race that will also involve the stars and cars from the National Racing Alliance and also Mercer's own 360 sprinters. After a trek out in Western Pa., the ESS point season gets going full bore on Memorial Day Weekend with a Friday night affair at the Brockville Ontario Speedway in Canada and then the Valvoline Cup events at Can-Am and Utica-Rome.

Just two more months before Empire Super Sprints fans will be able to see the speed and take in the smell of alcohol breathing sprint cars. As everyone has come to know, it will be excitement guaranteed!!! Visit us on the web at www.empiresupersprints.com for the up to date information.
