Lane's Yamaha Helping the Empire Super Sprints Celebrate Their 25th Season with an Increased Sponsorship Program.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- As the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) gets ready to embark on their 25th season, a big part of its history has been the name Mal Lane and Lane's Yamaha out of Watkins Glen, N.Y. From a six-time ESS champion, to car owner and now dedicated sponsor, the Lane's Yamaha name will take on the historic year with an increase sponsorship role.

Since the start of the 2003 season, the driver that advanced the most positions during the A-Main was awarded an extra $50 from Lane's Yamaha. While that program will continue for 2007, introduced is a now a special Lane's Yamaha Hard Charger Point Fund. Three drivers will share in over $500 that will be set up to be given out at the annual awards banquet on November 10th. The total package will now total $2,000 for the upcoming season.

Lane's Yamaha is co-owned by Mal and his brother Cal and has been a successful business for several decades located just north of Watkins Glen on St. Rte 14. The offering of new ATV products from Yamaha as well as a selection of bikes fills the showroom. There is also a wide range of used equipment from all makes and brands. ESS uses two ATV's from Lane's for use by officials on race night.

After a very successful nativepoker.com tour, 2007 is just around the corner. Defending champion Alain Bergeron is ready to defend his title. But, names like Jeff VanDusen, Lance Yonge, Steve Poirier, Jeff Cook, Bubby Kerrick, Nick Fratto, Jason Barney, Doug Emery and many more will be out in force looking to dethrone the French Canadian from his title slot. Nearly 30 dates are already on the schedule with more to be added in the next few weeks in making the 25th year a memorable one.
