Empire Super Sprints Off to Quebec to Have Some Fun.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- This weekend will find the stars and cars of the Empire Super Sprints Tour 2004 heading to the French speaking province of Quebec. The Autodrome's Granby and Drummond will be the tracks that the very best of "America's Race Cars" will be thrilling fans for stops three and four on the Spectro Oils Canadian Invasion point series.

Going into Granby on Friday night, Dan Kaszubinski leads Doug Emery, Lance Yonge and Jeff VanDusen so far in the season long point standings. Both Kaszubinski and VanDusen have seen victory lane in 2004 while Emery and Yonge will be ready to take his first checkered flag of the still early 21st Anniversary Season. Other drivers atop the points that will make the weekend trek are Justin Barger, Tim Kelly and Mike Stelter.

Canada's own Rick Wilson, a two time winner in 2004, is leading the Canadian Invasion points but family commitments will keep Wilson away for this weekend. This will open the door for Yonge, rookie Jeff Cook and Quebec's own Alain Bergeron who are right behind Wilson.

Granby, a wide, fast half-mile will lead off the weekend with the tricky 1/3rd mile oval in Drummondville hosting the sprinters on Saturday. The two annual Quebec swings are traditionally one of the favorite stops each year with added purses being offered for teams that make the long haul into Canada.

Granby and Drummondville, Quebec--It's the invasion of the Empire Super Sprints and it will be excitement guaranteed!!
