SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Empire Super Sprint Tour 2000 just finished an exciting event in the Western most region of New York state at the Ransomville Speedway. This weekend the traveling road show now heads East to showcase their talents on the Champlain Valley Racing Assoc. circuit.

Friday, July 28 at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway and Sunday, July 30 at the Devil's Bowl Speedway will find the ESS winged warriors ripping up the dirt. The Friday night stop marks the second and final visit to the 1/3rd mile oval in Malta, N.Y. just North of the state capital in Albany. Back in May, Lance Yonge brought the Lane's Yamaha #5 to victory lane for what was his first of now three wins in the 2000 season.

Mike Stelter, Rich Wood and Mike Woodring also collected top five finishes at Albany-Saratoga and all are feature winners this year. You can expect these stars as well as 25 other winged machines to the fill the pits on this night. Along with the CVRA modifieds on the same card, this is a "must see" event for all dirt fans.

After a Saturday night off, "America's Race Cars" will head to the Green Mountain State of Vermont to the Devil's Bowl Speedway. Billed as Vermont's fastest dirt oval, "The Bowl" always produces wild action on each Sunday night.

Lance Yonge will again be the man to watch as he cruised to victory lane last year during ESS' only visit. It will be an important weekend for the Penn Yan, N.Y. pilot as he trails five time ESS champion Mike Woodring for the 2000 point title. Eastern ESS entries Scott Holcomb and Rich Wood from Connecticut as well as Don Sharp Jr. from New Hampshire will enjoy a bit of hometown flavor as the Tour 2000 comes to their neighborhood.

Fans will see three Brodix Cylinder Heads heat events, the KSE Racing Products B-Main as well as the Walt's Hobby Dash series four lap dashes on each night. All the action leads up to the 20 lap A-Main final where the nights winner will be crowned.

The CVRA Circuit...It's your turn to get some mud in your eye!!! The Empire Super Sprints are coming to town!
