SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Two different tracks, two different countries and two more events on the 20th Anniversary Tour for the Empire Super Sprints (ESS). This Friday night, July 18th it's the annual visit to the Edelweiss Speedway in Cantley, Quebec and then on Saturday it's off to the Frogtown Speedway which is located in Hogansburg, N.Y.

The one-two punch of Edelweiss and Frogtown has become an ESS July weekend tradition and the stars and cars will be out in full force.

Last year Ryan Coniam was at the right place at the right time at the track located just north of Canada's capital in Ottawa. Winner Brian Dumigan came up light on the scales handing down the win to the second place finishing Canadian. Coniam is now searching for the rookie of the year honors on the All-Star trail so a new winner will be a sure bet.

Top names like current ESS point leader Mike Lutz, Justin Barger, Dan Kaszubinski as well as Canadian favorites Alain Bergeron and the father/son duo of Rick and Kyle Wilson will be in the pits for another VSM Abrasives Canadian Invasion event.

Three Engler Machine and Tool heat events will kick off the action followed by the Winters Performance Products/Walt's Hobby Dash and the KSE Racing Products B-Main. All the action on the quick 1/3rd mile oval will culminate with the 25 lap A-Main.

After a night in Quebec, it's down to the fast Frogtown International Speedway ½-miler. The winged sprint cars are all out on the circular shaped oval and record speeds will once again be expected.

Last year Erin Crocker made a late race pass to take the victory over Bob Podolak, Tim Kelly and Jeff VanDusen. While Crocker's plans are uncertain, the other top finishers from 2002 will be on hand as well as Lance Yonge, John Karklin Jr., Bubby Kerrick and Don Sharp Jr.

The same format with exception of Michael Ellis and his MRE Productions picking up the tab for the Walt's Hobby Dash will great a big crowd at the track that sits on the Akwesasne Native American Reserve.

Edelweiss and Frogtown doing their job in helping ESS celebrate its 20th Anniversary Tour and it will be excitement guaranteed!!!
