MALTA. N.Y. - With the fans filling the stands and 33 Empire Super Sprints (ESS) ready for warm-ups, the skies decided to open up canceling the ESS event Friday night at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Officials have decided to bring the excitement of "America's Race Cars" back to the Malta, N.Y. oval on Friday, August 17. Rain checks will be honored for that event.

This Sunday (Aug. 5) the stars and cars from ESS will invade the Green Mountain State of Vermont for the only visit to the Devil's Bowl Speedway. A record field of over 30 sprints will fill the pits at Vermont's fastest half-mile.
