Season ending for Team Bergeron

Further to the terrible accident that happened at Autodrome Granby, last Friday night, Team Bergeron decided to close the operations for the 2004 season. After a visit at the hospital, the exams confirmed that Alain Bergeron had bones of the left hand broken and a very bashed up knee. With a cast in his hand, the frame of the car destroyed and the budget of the season which is over exceeded, there were no other solutions.

Remember that Friday night at Autodrome Granby, the bad luck still knocked, with three laps to go in the A-Main, another Sprint Car made contact with Alain Bergeron's Sprint and the impact was violent. The racing car goes into the outside wall as result that the car is destroyed. Fortunately for all of us, Alain Bergeron was out of the car without no major injuries. It is what matters the most today. So, it's another bad luck for Team Bergeron, because throughout the season, the hours were not counted, among which those of Hugo St-Germain and Luc Croteau.

The night before (Thursday), Alain Bergeron finished thirteenth at Evans Mills, and he also won the DASH race during that same evening.

Alain Bergeron and all the team are anxious to thank the fans who supported them all the season and more particularly this weekend.

The reflection concerning the 2005 season is now begun and the team looks to add other sponsors to its current partners. The financial support to come will thus have an important impact on the 2005 season.

Team Bergeron thanks you for this 2004 season and your support.
