Dust and Badluck ...

After a good start at Fonda NY with the fifth place, Alain Bergeron belonged to Weedsport for the first race of the 'Empire Super Sprints '. Well, the evening looked difficult because, for this first race of the season, the starting positions for the heats were pulled by a draw. With 40 Sprint Cars, it was necessary to have a good draw. Bad news because Alain Bergeron found himself in tenth on the starting grid for his heat which counted eleven cars. With a dusty track and few passing, it was thus necessary not to waste any time because only the firsts five in the race were qualified for the A-Main. Alain Bergeron made contact with the wall, had to restart from the back to finally finish ninth with a broken suspension.

Nothing was lost because it was possible to qualify by the C-Main and B-Main. Alain Bergeron won the C-Main race. He passed to the B-Main. Thirteenth on the grid, Team Bergeron's driver missed time and finished ninth, while only first four passed to the A-Main. That also cost him a radiator.

' We keep a good morale because the car was running very well in our first two races. It is the luck (or the badluck) that played against us this evening. There are quit a lot of races to come and we remain confident. ' declared Alain Bergeron.

The next race is next Friday, May 13th at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
