Saturday, August 1, 2004, Alain Bergeron was supposed to be present with the URC Sprints at Autodrome Drummond but with the rain which forced the cancellation of the program, the driver of Saint Pie took advantage of it to participate at the activities of the Eric Messier Golf tournament. Messier is a NHL player with the Florida Panthers.

Team Bergeron moreover wishes to congratulate all the organization of the Golf tournament as well as Eric Messier for the success of the event which will have allowed to amass more than $24000 for the Children's Wish Foundation. In spite of the rain, the organizers managed to maintain the interest of the participants throughout the day and all left very happy after the evening. Especially, let us underline, that Eric Messier and his group efforts will allowed young children to see their dreams finally realized.

Friday night, Alain Bergeron was racing with the URC Sprints at Granby and after a fifth place finish in the heat, he was 17th on the starting grid of the A-Main. Unfortunetly, on the first lap, two cars made contact and a crash occured. Alain Bergeron was not able to avoid it and his car flipped two times. Frame is damaged and the engine was removed to be installed in the second car.
