Mike Emhof Appointed ASCS Patriot Region Director
TULSA, Okla. (December 7, 2006) -- The Bobcat of Buffalo ASCS Patriots will sport a revamped look in 2007 and that new look starts at the top, as Mike Emhof has been appointed the new Regional Director of the American Sprint Car Series Patriot Region.
With an extensive background and knowledge of the New York-based Region's motorsports industry, Emhof looks forward to the challenge of bringing the ASCS Patriots to the forefront of the area's auto racing entertainment options.
"It's a new name for the series, with a new direction and a new focus, we look forward to growing the series and in turn increasing the exposure and opportunities to the teams that compete with the ASCS Patriots in 2007 and beyond," Emhof commented.
Emhof has been extensively involved with the Central New York Mini Sprints over the past ten years, owning the successful series the past four years.
"Mike (Emhof) has a great knowledge of the tracks and promoters throughout the area, so he'll be an excellent person to lead the ASCS Patriots forward," explained ASCS President and founder Emmett Hahn.
Emhof has already embarked upon the scheduling process for the ASCS Patriots.
"It's important that the ASCS Patriots are affiliated with quality racetracks that have good facilities and are in good markets, that's one of the key areas that we're working on," according to Emhof.
The Bobcat of Buffalo ASCS Patriots recently completed its first season under the ASCS banner, with Chuck Hebing becoming the fourth different Patriot champion in as many years.
