ELS SUPER SPRINTS HIGHLIGHT LABOR DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION AT UTICA-ROME

VERNON, NY - The highly popular winged warriors of the Eastern Limited Super Sprints (ELS) will make their second appearance of the 2000 season at the New Utica-Rome Speedway this coming Sunday September 3. Also in competition during the six division Labor Day Weekend Celebration that will be the final points race for all divisions, will be the DIRT 358 Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Slingshots. Race time is set for 6pm.
The earth will shake as the alcohol powered ELS Super Sprints blister the half-mile speedway in record lap times. Earlier this summer, George Suprick of Clarks Summit, PA blistered the Utica-Rome Speedway in the first ELS show and took home his first Utica-Rome Sprint Car feature win. Just some of the top ELS stars in action challenging Suprick will be Rick Hart, Dave Wickham, Brian Dumigan, John Karklin, John Lieto, Doug Emery, R.C Faigle, and many more. New Utica-Rome race fans are kept on the edge of their seats by the sprint cars and Sunday September 3rd should be no exception.
The New Utica-Rome Speedway is a Sunday family tradition in the Mohawk Valley, and you can be a part of it as the racing season winds down for 2000. The gates on Sunday September 3 will open at 4pm and racing will begin at 6pm. The speedway is located just 20 minutes west of Utica on Route 5 in Vernon, and it is easily accessible from NYS Thruway Exit 33. Free parking and overnight camping is allowed on speedway grounds.
