GIBSONTON, FL - A record number of race cars jammed the pits Saturday night at East Bay Raceway. Roger Crouse won the $500 Kensington Manor Dash for Cash for limited lates. Kenny Adams won his 15th sprint car feature and Bobby Alexander topped the late model main.

Following Crouse in the Dash was Danny Bowman, Kenny Blackman and Ricky Land. Rounding out the sprint car top five were Johnny Gilbertson, Sport Allen, Joe Melnick and Greg Leonard, while the late model finish was Alexander, Keith Nosbisch, Jack Nosbisch Jr., Donnie Tanner and David Schmauss.

Terry Gay won the yellow flag plagued street stock main for his first win of 1998 as he nosed out Danny McCall, Jerry Lape, Mike Lansgshaw and Charlie Paris. The mini-stock main saw Don Gay grab the early lead and hold it all the way. Runner-up Scotty Williams edged out Devin Dixon, Dorsey Strickland and Thomas Hampton.

Johnny Parker won the 15-lap limited late feature. In a blanket finish for second it was Philip Brower, Roger Crouse, John Bradley and Danny Bowman.

After two weeks straight of hurricane rain outs, the limited sprints returned with Clyde Poole winning his fifth feature of 1998. Following were Gilbertson, Tim George, Andy Kelley and Roland Johnson.

The prize for the moist exciting finish goes to Bobby Alexander as he got by Keith Nosbisch on the last corner of the last lap of the late model main event.
