GIBSONTON, FL - After a first lap multiple car spin, Kenny Adams drove the top of the track from his 23rd starting spot to win over $7,000 and sweep the two-day Mr. Budweiser sprint car weekend Saturday at East Bay Raceway. Johnny Gilbertson lead a total of 17 laps before engine problems took him out with two laps remaining. Joe Melnick was second ahead of Sport Allen, Gene Lasker and Roland Johnson. Heat race winners were Adams, Paulie Milum and Allen. Greg Leonard won the Dash for Cash in only his fifth time in a sprint car, over Milum, Adams, Allen and Ohio’s Paul Weaver.
The 25 lap late model main saw Jack Nosbisch Jr. win it on the last lap after chasing Bobby Alexander all the way. Keith Nosbisch grabbed second on the last lap as Alexander slid sideways to recover for third ahead of Davis Schmauss and Donnie Tanner. Alexander won the Kensington Manor dash for Cash over Schmauss.
John Geiser won the street stocks over Donnie Paris, Don Gansner, Mike Langshaw and Charlie Paris. Devin Dixon won his first career feature in the mini-stock main over William Hampton and Scotty Williams. Roger Crouse won his fourth limited late model main over Danny Bowman and John Morris.
