Aussiefast American continuing his winning ways
Since returning to America in late March Disbury Family Racing driver Jason Johnson has continuing his winning ways claiming victories in numerous events.
Johnson, 28, began his campaign in the Knoxville track Championship in winning style claiming the opening event of the year at the home of Sprintcar Racing, Knoxville, IOWA.
Last week Johnson completed a double victory in the NCRA/SCOA Series in Nebraska taking back to back victories at McCool Junction and Wichita Speedways.
In the opening night Johnson started on the outside front row of the grid before quickly moving into the lead at the ensuing start.
With lapped traffic coming into play all night long Johnson was passed for the lead by Australian Brooke Tatnell.
It didn't take a more than a lap for Johnson to come roaring back and regain the lead as he made the winning pass the very next lap in turn two.
>From that point on The Cajun Sensation looked sensational cruising to his fifth victory of the season.
The second night out with the NCRA/SCOA 410 series was held at a track where Johnson had won the last two of three events he attended there.
Starting his heat race from the outside front row Johnson steered the Cox Fabrication Maxim to a convincing win.
For the second night running Johnson started on the outside front row of the A main event.
At the drop of the green flag Johnson moved into the second position and was clearly the fastest car on the track, making moves high and low, only to be continuously blocked from making the winning pass.
With the white flag in the air, Jason made a last ditch effort to overtake the lead going into turn four.
As he was putting on a slide job, the leader and Johnson traded tyre paint with Johnson coming out on the better end of a fierce feature battle going on to claim his second consecutive feature with NCRA and his fourth career 410 NCRA feature event.
His focus now returns to the Knoxville track Championship where he is currently fifth in the points standings.
Johnson will re unite with his Australian team, Disbury Family Racing in November.
