Fulton to host LNB Mini Sprint "Dash for Cash" finale.
Williamson, NY - The finale of The Lyons National Bank Mini Sprint "Dash for Cash" Series, presented by Lessord's Chrysler Products, is set for August 31 at Fulton (NY) Speedway. Top mini sprint racers from all over the northeast are set to converge on the 3/8th mile high banked oval for the event, which is sanctioned by Central New York Mini Sprints (CNYMS), Inc. Wayne Regional Orthopaedics, LLC, of Williamson, NY, will sponsor the event that night.
The race at Fulton is the last of five LNB Dash for Cash races. The series opener was held at Fulton earlier in the summer, two races were hosted by Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport, and the last was run at Canandaigua. Tough competition has been the name of the game throughout the series, with a different winner of each race so far. Mike Emhof (Sodus, NY), Jared Fink (Germantown, NY), Bryan Howland (Auburn, NY), and Doug Norrie (West Suffield, CT) have all taken home feature wins and will be gunning for a repeat victory.
The race payout is expected to be $650 to win the A-main, and $75 to take the feature green. There are several contingency awards and race bonuses also up for grabs, provided by Seymour Racing Products, Wilwood Brakes, Weld Wheels, and Bicknell Racing Products. The race at Fulton will also determine the D&H Wings series contingency award. Hank Katz of D&H will provide give certificates to the top three in the series points who use D&H Wings.
All participating drivers must have a CNYMS license, and the race is open to 750 cc as well as 1200 cc machines. THE TRACK REQUIRES ALL CARS HAVE A TURBO STYLE MUFFLER.
The weekend will be busy for CNYMS teams, as the tour travels to Utica-Rome Speedway on September 1 to join the Empire Super Sprints for a winged show at the ½ oval.
