Despite the best efforts of the promoters, drivers, and fans, it just wasn't meant to be as the MSS series attempted to finish their season at the Kopellah Speedway in St. Croix Falls, WI last Friday. Following a lengthy rain delay, the track was quickly prepared, and the crews were forced to quickly ready their cars for hot laps. However, during the third and final pure stock heat race, the lights went out and with threatening weather beckoning, the show was canceled and rescheduled for Friday, September 1st. This will be the final MSS point race of the season and the battle between current point leader, Roger Rager, and top contender, Ehren Layton, will finally be decided after a season long battle. There are many other tight point battles throughout the standings, and it should be an interesting evening at Kopellah. There will also be a full show of stock cars and modifieds on the card.
