FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Central New York Mini Sprints Add More Sponsors To 1999 Tour

Sodus, NY - Central New York Mini Sprints, Inc. (CNYMS) is pleased to announce the sponsors for the 1999 CNYMS Tour. Woodard's Concrete Products, Inc., of Bullville, New York, will return as the maj or tour sponsor for the 1999 season, having held the same distinction in 1998. Woodard's Concrete Products has been owned and operated by the Zwart family since 1966. Woodard's offers quality preca st concrete products and associated services throughout the Hudson Valley. Their services cover a wide variety of applications, including septic systems, sidewalks and cellar entrances for residenti al use, durable prefabricated buildings, bunker silos, building components for farm and industry plus sound and safety barriers and utility structures for streets and highways. In addition to their manufacturing facilities, Woodard's maintains distribution centers throughout the Hudson Valley. Steve Zwart and his brother Bobby participated as drivers on the 1998 CNYMS tour. Returning as an as sociate sponsor for 1999 is Dennis Fink Trucking, Inc., of Germantown, New York. Owned and operated by 1998 CNYMS president and driver, Dennis Fink, Fink Trucking transports vehicles for automobile auctions, rental car agencies, new and used car dealerships and private individuals. The business has a 48 state operating authority and global service via all eastern seaports. Daily service is offered in the Northeast, with weekly service to Florida. Newcomers to the associate sponsor roster are Sparks Excavating, Middle Grove, New York, and PowderTech Custom Powdercoated Finishes, of Schen ectady, New York. Dave Sparks, founder of Sparks Excavating, is the owner of the Mini Sprint driven by 1998 Central New York tour points champion, Mark Lapan. His family-owned business was started in 1986 and specializes in commercial and residential site development, subdivisions, infrastructure and earthwork. PowderTech specializes in a wide variety of commercial and custom powdercoating a pplications. D & H MotorSports, of Sparrowbush, NY, one of the 1998 CNYMS sponsors, returns in 1999 as a contingency product sponsor. D & H manufactures the characteristic top and front wings used in Micro and Mini Sprints, and Midgets. D&H Motorsports is owned by former CNYMS driver Hank Katz, who is now driving on the ARDC Midget Tour. Pennzoil will provide product contingency awards at eac h CNYMS race in 1999. The Pennzoil program was made possible through Ed Pados of Slate Belt Auto Parts in Bangor, Pa. The No. 11 Mini Sprint, owned and driven by John Richetta, will also carry the Slate Belt Auto Parts and Pennzoil sponsorships for the 1999 race season. At the November, 1998, business meeting of CNYMS, Inc., the 1999 officers was named. Taking over the presidency is Mike Emhof, of Sodus, NY. Emhof served as co-secretary in 1998 and was the runner- up in driver points on the 1998 tour. In addition, Emhof will serve as race coordinator in 1999. Jim VanSteenburg, of Skoharie, NY, will be vice-president and will again participate in the driver's point chase in 1999. Fred Kaempffe will keep his 1998 position of secretary but will also take over the treasurer's responsibility. Kaempffe owns the Mini Sprint driven by Mike Emhof. It is antic ipated that the officers will have the 20-25-race schedule for 1999 completed by January 1, 1999. The board of directors for 1999 will include Dave Sparks, A.J. Baggozzi, of Syracuse, NY, Blase Regi na, of Altamont, NY and Dave Peworchik of Harpersville, NY. Baggozzi, Regina, and Peworchik are drivers who participated in the 1998 tour and plan to return in 1999.

SIX GUN SHOOTOUT SCHEDULE IS COMPLETE The 1999 Dow/Kaman Industrial Technologies Mini Sprint Six Gun Shootout has been finalized. The series has been organized by Branich Motorsports and is sanctioned by the Central New York Mini Sprint s, Inc. Based on a 24 car starting field, each race will have a $3,400.00 purse. The series will pay $75.00 to take the green flag in the A Main. and will pay a $50.00 bonus to the top finishing 750 cc car. The series is open to any 1200cc Mini Sprint team holding a valid 1999 Mini Sprint club license - CNYMS, AMSA, Outlaw Mini Sprints, etc. There will be a $125.00 entry fee to pre-enter all si x of the Shootout series races.
