Cameron Dodson Set To Kick Off 2005 Sprint Car Season in Florida

Greenfield, IN -- Cameron Dodson, 2004 MASS Champion and Rookie of the Year, will get his 2005 winged sprint car season off to a fast start this week at Tampa Florida's East Bay Raceway 410 Winternationals.

"I am ready to get back in the cockpit," said the 16-year high school student. "I have never run at East Bay Raceway and I know many of the best sprint car racers in the world will be there so I am excited to have this challenge in front of me."

The 29th running of the four-night event will be Wednesday through Saturday, February 2-5, 2005. The track has posted at $145,000 in prize money for this "open competition" four-night show that has attracted many of the country's best teams for three complete preliminary shows and a big 50-lap finale paying $10,000 to the winner. Competitors from ten states and Canada are set to do battle for bragging rights, a big trophy and a nice paycheck.

Dodson will pilot his familiar No. 37 family owned car with continued support from Joie of Seating, Hoosier Tire, Simpson Racing Products and Weld Wheels.
