FRED BROWNFIELD TO RECEIVE 360 POLL "PROMOTER OF THE YEAR" HONORS AT ELMA
Fred Brownfield of the hy-per-lube Northern Sprint Tour (NST) will receive his 2001 National 360 Sprint Car Poll "Promoter of the Year" honors this Saturday at the NST event at the Grays Harbor Raceway Park in Elma, Washington. On hand to present the plaque to the first-time recipient will be Tom Schmeh, executive director of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum and coordinator of the poll awards program.
According to Schmeh, "It really is my honor and pleasure to present Freddy Brownfield with his award this weekend at Elma. He has been a long-time friend and supporter of the museum, and I want him to know how much respect those in the industry have for his innovative promotional efforts with 360-cubic-inch sprint car racing in the Pacific Northwest. And, personally, it will be fun for me to meet the NST officials and teams this weekend at Yakima and Elma. Other than Shawna Wilskey and Roger Crockett, I don't really know these drivers other than that they're a pretty talented bunch of American and Canadian racers."
The National Sprint Car Poll is an official awards program of the non-profit Knoxville-based museum, whose mission is "Promoting the Future while Preserving the Past." In addition to the National 360 Sprint Car Poll, the museum also coordinates the National 410 Sprint Car Poll, the National Non-Winged Sprint Car Poll, and the Australian National Sprintcar Poll.
