BLOOMINGTON, IN (June 6, 2000) - Bloomington Speedway fans will have lots of money left for T Shirts, Photos, and that good concession stand food on the hill after they enter Bloomington Speedway on June 9. It's Fan Appreciation Night.; and grandstand admission is only $5.

The June 9 program will be the fourth race of the season for the Pennzoil Cup Sprint Cars, the O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds, and the Tire and Wheel Center Super Stocks. The competitors are already jockeying for positions in their points races. While it's early in the season, the cushion that a driver can build up early will give him and his sponsors confidence as the season progresses.

Ray Humphrey ran strong in winning the opening night O'Neal Wood Products; but he ran into some trouble on May 19 and failed to make the feature giving him an average finish of 10.5. Gary Trammell ran the strongest over the first two evening. Lee Hobbs and J.D. Francis also got off to good starts. Troy Jarvis and Brian Sullivan also seem likely to move up as the season wears on.

In the Tire and Wheel Center Super Stock class, Lee Hobbs has jumped off to a pretty good lead with a third and a first place finish. Hobbs is working hard to repeat as champion. Greg Kendall and Perry Bruce are also off to good starts.

The Pennzoil Cup Sprint Cars have only had one race; and their points race is wide open. Because of the tremendous field of cars the last time out, many drivers who are likely to be a factor in the points race didn't make the feature.

Grandstand admission for this special event is only $5 and pit admission is $20. Pit gates open at 3:00, grandstands open at 4:30. Overnight camping is permitted.
