Big Diamond Raceway of Minersville, PA announced this weekend that the KARS 358 Sprints will be making three appearances at the 3/8th-mile oval in 2005. Big Diamond is the first of several tracks that are considering and negotiating KARS dates.

The Keystone Auto Racing on Speedways (KARS) 358 Sprint organization is entering their 17th season with an eye on the future. Duval Dressler has been very instrumental in the success of KARS over the years but family and health issues have forced him to take a less active role in 2005. Officers stepping to the plate to help guide KARS into the future in 2005 are Deb Hammaker, president; Wayne Finicle, vice-president ; Christine Rupp, secretary; and board members Ed Boehle, Elmer Cotner, Gary Hammaker, Todd Huffman, Keith Prutzman, and Dan Richcreek, the 2005 KARS champion.

The leadership is talking to several speedways about dates for 2005 including Port Royal, Hagerstown and Grandview Speedways. Additionally the organization has had conversations with both Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedway officials concerning possible KARS involvement with the events schedule for 358 Sprints at those two speedways this year.

KARS plans to participate in the upcoming Dirt Trackin' Car Show on Jaunary 21 through 23 in York, PA at the York Fairgrounds Expo Center.
