The Dixie Speedway in Birch Run MI will host the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint Series this Friday night. The highbanked 4/10-mile oval with world class lighting will welcome the stars and cars of the AVSS. The race on July third was taken by three time AVSS national champion Gary Fedewa of Holt MI.

This is the second to last race on the 2003 chase to the championship and leading the points battle is Tom Fedewa of Leslie MI with nine wins in the first 19 shows. There have been six different feature winners this season, both Fedewa's, Jason Blonde with four, Brian Lay with two, Kevin Newton and Dave Baumgartner each have won one each.

The track record at the new Dixie track was set by Tom Fedewa in the Mike Katz owned car at a blazing 13.026. The chances are good for the fans to see the first 12-second lap in Dixie history Friday night.

The action begins with pit gates at 2, hot laps at 4, qualifying at 6 and racing at 7:30. The Dixie phone number is 989-624-9778. The AVSS website is www.supersprints.com for more information.
