The Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint Series races at Calhoun County Speedway in Springport MI were canceled yesterday. The June 7 and July 5 dates were set and there was much interest.

The new owner of the facility Paul Zimmerman has not been able to get the sale of the track completed and will not be running at all it looks like in 2003. The long time owner of the Spartan Speedway will continue to try to purchase the 3/8 mile oval but will not be able to complete the purchase in time for the 2003 season.

The AVSS apologizes to its fans and competitors alike and will now work for replacement dates for both shows. The great supporter of AVSS Zimmerman is also disappointed as he was really looking forward to the winged warriors racing at his new facility. The official website of the AVSS is www.supersprints.com.
