For the fifth successive year and 18th since beginning his careers Darren Disbury's led Disbury Family Racing outfit claimed the Best Presented Car and Crew award at the recent Sprintcar Action South Australia Awards night.

While the Best Presented Car and Crew was another "feather in the cap" for the team who finished runner-up in this year's World Series Sprintcar Championship the icing on the cake came when driver, Jason Johnson was awarded the Bill Wigzell Best & Fairest Award.

In his first season with the team after finishing runner-up in the American All Stars Series the Louisana native moulded straight into to the tight knit Disbury Family outfit.

Johnson's hard charging style earned the respect of many fans on the track and added to his charismatic personality off the track. He rose towards one of the most popular American drivers to grace Australian shores.

Such is the popularity of Johnson he is the first American to be win such an award from Sprintcar Action SA.

"To win such an award is a true honour. Bill Wigzell is the Steve Kinser of South Australian speedway and to receive this award means a lot to me," said Johnson.

Team Owner, Darren Disbury accepted the award on behalf of Johnson who is focusing on the Knoxville track Championship.

Disbury also accepted the Best Presented Car and Crew Award on behalf of the team.

"We have always prided ourselves on a well presented image and this year has been no different," said Disbury.

"This is an award for all of the team as the guys put in so many hours ensuring the car looks immaculate, thanks guys."

Disbury also assured fans that Johnson will reunite with the team next season in Australia.
