Chillicothe, OH -- May 14, 2005 -- Officials from K-C Raceway and the World of Outlaws Sprint Series were forced to postpone The Ohio Challenge scheduled for May 14 because of continuous rain that is forecasted to become even heavier throughout the night, making racing impossible.

A new date for the race, which was scheduled as a battle between the World of Outlaws Sprint Series and the All Star Circuit of Champions, will be determined as soon as possible.

This marks the second consecutive World of Outlaws Sprint Series race to be postponed by rain. The race originally scheduled for May 9 at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., has been rescheduled to Sept. 20.

"It's disappointing to get rained out because obviously we want to get some races in, and for me, coming off a win, we want to keep rolling," said Jason Meyers, who earned his first victory of the season last Saturday at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill. "At least we can look back on a win. We definitely had some momentum going, but it's that time of year unfortunately. It's hard on everybody because you sit around all week and get ready to race, and then it rains."

Next up for the Outlaws is the Commonwealth Clash Friday and Saturday at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., which kicks off the Outlaws' first swing this season through highly competitive Pennsylvania Posse country.
